This position serves as an electrical/electronic engineering technician in the Special Operating Forces (SOF) Undersea Mobility Division (Code 206), Deep Submergence Systems Program (DSSP) Office, Engineering and Planning Department.
You must be a US Citizen. Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal & Regulatory Guidance. Suitable for Federal employment as determined by background investigation. Selectee may be required to successfully complete a probationary period. This position is a drug-testing designated position (TDP). You must obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance. Position may require frequent travel (25%)
_Receives assignments to support new construction, conversion, overhaul and repair work in electrical/electronic/tactical information technology systems._
_Guides and recommends courses of action to other engineers and technicians in requirements analysis, design and specifications._
_Prepare designs and manufacturing specifications for electrical components/systems_
_Provides contractor interface including Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) duties when assigned._
Manage Software Process Improvement integrated product team
Identify suitable test environments for software validation and verification testing
Manage software configuration management process and chair configuration control board

_Supplies on-site support for NAVSEA/Fleet which includes frequent travel._

QUALIFICATIONS:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to perform successfully the duties of the position such as:
Develop test programs and operating procedures for electrical equipment and/or computer systems.
Interpret and adapt guidelines for application to specific cases or problems.
Experience with Tactical Information Technology (IT) Systems such as hardware and software configuration management, requirements and design analysis, and database design.
Formulate test programs and operating procedures such as write/review software validation and verification procedures and identify suitable test environments for software validation and verification testing.

Selectee is required to participate in the Department of Defense direct deposit of pay program.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
