SUPERVISORY SAFETY & OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Dutieso You will direct safety and health professionals to improve or recommend workplace controls, tools, equipment, and processes in an effort to control or eliminate the hazard or protect the worker from exposure to the hazard.
o You will review engineering or job-related work processes, job specifications and shipyard facility plans to ensure that adequate safety and health considerations have been incorporated.
o You will provide technical oversight and direction of the Shipyards hazard abatement and improvements in hierarchy of controls.
o You will evaluate OSH self-assessments of OSH programs for the Shipyard and determine effective actions to address issues.
o You will assist the Division Head by providing technical assistance in the research and resolution of occupational safety and health problems assigned by higher authority or internally recognizedRequirements Conditions of Employmento Must be a US Citizen.
o Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
o Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
