Job Description:
We are currently seeking experienced and licensed Master Pest Controllers to join our team at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine.
This position involves performing a wide range of pest control services in an industrial complex that spans approximately 280 acres, encompassing diverse building types such as production facilities, childcare services, residential housing, administrative offices, and medical buildings.
Key
Responsibilities:
Implementing and adhering to the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program, which includes conducting surveys, establishing control thresholds, and maintaining thorough documentation to track the effectiveness and safety of control efforts.
Performing pest control services in conformance with the Integrated Pest Management Plan (IPMP) to prevent and control a variety of pests, including but not limited to:
Unwanted vegetation and invasive plants.
Nuisance, structure-damaging, lawn, turf, ornamental, and public health pests:
Cockroaches, Termites, Bees, Wasps, Ants, Fleas, Silverfish, Stored product pests, Mosquitoes, Bedbugs.
Vertebrate pests:
Mice, Rats, Bats, Feral dogs and cats, Other nuisance mammals, Pigeons, and other nuisance birds.
Note:
Pest Control services do not include non-chemical vegetation control (such as mowing or trimming).
Required
Qualifications:
A valid Master Pest Technician License.
Proficiency and familiarity with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs.
Ability to work in various settings within the industrial complex.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and effectiveness in pest control efforts.
Performance Standards:
The job is performance-based, requiring high standards of effectiveness and safety in pest control services.
