POSITION
Summary:
Analyze business systems needs working with various levels of end-users to create the logical specifications for software/hardware systems that will provide a solution for the needs of moderate to complex business problems. Performs the research necessary to create technical designs and logical functionality which will ensure that business application systems can be effectively developed and implemented to meet actual business needs. This position typically does not involve hands-on programming, but focuses on the analysis, definition, and logical design of hardware/software systems.

Responsibilities:
Develops or modifies procedures to solve moderately complex problems within information systems.
Acts as liaison between end-user communities, stakeholders, and service providers within an enterprise.
Interviews personnel from functional user area under study to learn general purpose of systems and information requirements of positions involved in the data flow.
Analyzes client resources, including funding, personnel, and unfunded requirements.
Analyzes business and user needs, documents requirements, and revises existing system logic difficulties as necessary.
Tracks and documents changes to functional and business specifications.
Monitors and documents post-implementation problems and revision requests.
Provides guidance to less experienced Business Systems Analysts.
Required Qualifications:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
Requires a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or equivalent, and two to four years of related experience.
Minimum 1-3 years' experience gathering requirements and developing detailed software design documents for use by developers in the creation of software applications
Experience in writing and communicating efficiently
Experience and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and utilize critical thinking skills Experience with relational database systems, especially Oracle
US Citizenship with Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one

Qualifications:
Past experience gathering requirements and developing detailed software designs for the Navy is a plus.
Knowledge of CMMI processes and Procedures
